Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

OK, folks. You heard it here first. Or second, if I have talked to you about it already...

After talking it over with Noah, he and I have decided that we are going to go to the Oklahoma City Tae Kwon Do tournament in February next year. The reason that I want to go is because I want to use the next 10 months to get into shape and then be able to prove that I am in shape. Noah wants to go because he wants a trophy.

I am putting this out here because I am going to need all the help I can get in training for this. Between now and January 2005, I need to drop 40 pounds and increase my stamina. I am going to work as hard as I can, but I am going to need help.

First of all, if anyone sees me stuffing my face with anything that I don't need, feel free to remind me of the end goal.

Secondly, anyone who sees me slacking when it comes to Tae Kwon Do or any other training that I am doing, remind me of that, too.

Here are the basic stats... I currently weigh 220. I want to get to 180. Body fat is 26%. I want to drop that to 10% - 12%. I know, it is a lofty goal, but it is one that I think I can hit.

As for Noah, I am sure that he is going to do fine... He is working hard and will only get better over the next year. He is already practicing.

Oklahoma, here we come!

Okay, first...eat breakfast, a good breakfast. I've seen what you usually eat in the morning and the lack of breakfast food in your house, so I can only imagine.
Small snack at 10, take lunch with you or go get a salad/sandwich at the grocery store, and then eat a snack at 3 or so to give you energy through Tae Kwon Do a few hours later... You need to crank up your metabolism while working out and crank down the crap that you probably eat when you go out to lunch.
Also, don't forget the importance of some light weightlifting to build muscle mass during your training. It will allow you to control your movements better AND crank up your metabolism to lose that weight.

I know, I should take my own advice, but I attribute the snacks and the good eating to a majority of my 70 pounds lost over the last year.

Ok, first of all, I don't know where you got those pictures from.

And second, I really think you can accomplish your goal as long as I dont work you too hard.
